Johnavae Campbell

Johnavae is a child welfare and education expert with over 15 years of experience conducting and managing evaluations using mixed-methods data collection strategies.

Johnavae consults with anti-racist organizations to evaluate culturally responsive teaching strategies for elementary schools. She works with a Northwestern University research team to evaluate experiential learning efforts to promote awareness in science, 技术, 工程, and math (STEM) careers, particularly among students from underrepresented populations. Johnavae serves as an evaluator on a National Science Foundation-funded Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discovers in Engineering and Science (INCLUDES) effort to broaden STEM participation and retention efforts for first-generation 大学访问 and readiness efforts in West Virginia and Arizona.

Johnavae is a graduate of the University of 北卡罗莱纳 and served as an Adjunct Professor in the School of 教育, where she completed her doctoral degree. Her research includes program evaluation specializing in collaborative approaches, 大学访问, broadening STEM participation, and issues of equity. She has evaluation expertise in managing Department of 教育 funded grants conducting experimental and quasi-experimental impact and fidelity of implementation study designs.

Johnavae has a Master’s degree in educational policy and evaluation from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical 工程 from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
