With more than 20 years of experience, Kirsten helps clients address 气候变化 challenges and improve agriculture and food production sustainability.

Kirsten works with private sector clients, 联邦政府, 外国政府, and international organizations on agriculture, 气候变化, 和可持续性. 有Ph值.D. in science and work experience at the State Department and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Kirsten conveys complex scientific ideas and information to lay audiences, spanning the general public to key decision-makers.

With more than 20 years of experience, Kirsten is an expert in estimating the environmental and climate impacts of different agricultural practices and evaluating current and projected future greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Her assessments help determine which agricultural practices could result in the largest climate and environmental gains. They also assist in developing estimates of the environmental impacts of biofuel production.

Kirsten writes agriculture-related technical documents for multiple clients, 包括美国农业部, the 环境al Protection Agency (EPA), the United States Agency for International Development, 世界银行, 孟山都公司, 和其他人. She also researches and writes reports for USDA on agricultural conservation practices, culminating in technical summaries, 白皮书, 和报告.

在她的角色中, Kirsten researches and writes summary reports on barriers to adopting sustainable agricultural practices. She organized a workshop to help identify increased adoption opportunities, during which she created agendas, 物流管理, invited attendees and speakers, collated background papers, and wrote summary documents.

Kirsten’s expertise includes technical subjects outside of agriculture. For EPA, she researched and wrote multiple documents related to the Clean Water Act. Other projects include researching and writing up-to-date EPA health assessment documents for norovirus, 腺病毒, 贾第虫属, 和隐孢子虫. She also reviewed methods for detecting freshwater contamination, including coliphages and quantitative polymerase chain reaction.

Kirsten contributes to developing the National 环境al 政策 Act documents for public and private sector clients.
